Spanglish is a 21 piece Big Band playing a variety of danceble tunes. So, bring your dancing shoes for a bit of Thursday fun!
"Hi, I'm Ned Zeppelin. I lead a fun new 21-person band called Neo Spanglish! We are muy loco about the world's happiest style of music: New York Palladium Ballroom-style salsa big band and it's more modern variants, too. I've been researching and hunting for lost and non-existent sheet music for the greatest Mambo/Merengue/Cha Cha/Comparsa recordings of salsa big band greats Tito Puente, Perez Prado, Machito's Mario Bauza, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito de Rivera, Michel Camilo, Chano Pozo/Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Herman and more.
Many of these songs were only written down for the recording session and then ended up in a file cabinet, or were lost, or discarded. If a song totally affects me with its emotional intensity, I HAVE TO FIND IT. Come discover this thrilling, largely lost world of Salsa Big Band with us.
Satisfaction guaranteed: If you don't absolutely love our music, scouts honor I'll bite a bug. "

Food and Beverages available including Ernesto’s Famous Chicken and Pork Adobo!
They started with a wish to put a whole lot of good stuff into one package: Hip jazz harmonies, deep grooves, sultry vocals, searching poetry, joyful improv, some of the old, some of the new, and a lot of soul. It’s a recipe that’s served them well!
Eclectic originals, mixed with jazz standards, blues classics, and quirky covers!
Our sultry sound is rooted in the classic jazz trios and vocalists of the 1950s and 60s, updated with modern funky grooves, catchy melodies, and soulful lyrics.
Check out our most recent recording, Such Sweet Recompense (2022), with four original tunes and special guest artist on the B-3 organ and electric piano, Joe Doria. Our debut album, So Little Has Been Tried (2017), focuses on our original tunes. It is now available for download on CD Baby, Amazon, and other online retailers. You can stream our albums on Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, and others. Physical CDs are available at shows.
Catch us live at venues all over Seattle, including The Pink Door, The Musicquarium Lounge at the Triple Door, Perihelion Brewery, and the Sheridan Market. Check out our calendar page for upcoming shows. We are also available for private events and house concerts--send an email inquiry to find out more.
